Suddenly can’t open any of my books

Books that I have downloaded and read in the past will not open. These books should already be downloaded to my device but I cannot access them anymore. They also have the “New” tag even if I have read them before.

When I click “download” the bar freezes on 0 progress (see A Red Rose Chain below)

If I try to open from the “Reading Now” screen it will sometimes open the cover page but no more. (See Magic for Nothing below)

Problem is across the board for ePub, pdf, audiobook, purchased through Apple, downloaded from other sites….

Troubleshooting: I have restarted the app, restarted my phone, downloaded the latest iOS, checked my iCloud capacity, and tried downloading completely new files.

Any ideas?
