ventura and webex

I'm doing some tech troubleshooting for an organization and have run into an odd glitch during Sharing in Webex while using Ventura, particularly in sharing a video from YouTube. The Webex Help site offers no help related to this.

The user has OS 13.2.1 with the most recent version of Webex. When she shares a YouTube video directly (not embedded) the video portion works perfectly but the sound does not. We have run through all the possibilities: Optimize for Motion and Video, Use Computer Audio (Webex settings), and Use Webex Audio (OS setting). The audio will work briefly. If the user pauses the video then restarts (Sharing is not stopped) the sound no longer works.

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

Hey CVG,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

It appears the issue may be related to computer audio not being shared in Webex. This article from Webex support may help: Share motion and video content in Webex Meetings and Webex Webinars. Step 3 shows how to share your computer audio.

If you continue to experience the issue, test in a new user account. This will help determine if this is account related or system-wide. If it works correctly in the other user account, there is either a setting or software causing it.

If you need help with creating a new user, check out the steps here: Add a user or group on Mac.

Take care.
