Apple Mail will not verify User name or Password with Microsoft exchange on Godaddy

Not a question, but a solution. When trying to add an account to apple mail into my GoDaddy/Microsoft exchange email for one of my domains-- I kept getting the "Unable to verify user name or password" error message. It took 2 days to learn from Godaddy, that when you create the account in Apple Mail - I was mistakenly choosing the "Personal Email" option -- which was wrong. I should have chosen the Work/IT Dept. top option. That works instantly. The "Personal email" option only works if you have an MS-Exchange email account you set up with MS. My email address was associated with my particular website domain - (for example ttt@blablabla.com) So-- if your email is uniquely associated with your domain name/website, choose the Work/IT Dept option -- agree to the terms and there should be no problem.

Godaddy mail has always been sketch, and now they off load to Microsoft exchange email... for a fee.

I would always recommend having your domain name email "forwarded" to another of your existing email accounts to keep it simple, thus avoiding the expense and Godaddy run around.
