I’m trying to use an assurance wireless sim card in a fully unlocked iPhone 7plus
I have a fully unlocked iPhone 7plus A1784 Global phone and I’m trying to use an assurance wireless sim card in it but I’m getting an IMEI error. I am wondering if I shouldn’t have updated the is to 15.7.3 since the reference material I’ve seen from T-Mobile lists much lower than the os.
just frustrating because It took me 3 days to eventually unlock the phone.
additionally Assurance wireless “ARE NOT TECHNICAL SUPPORT” so it’s a waste of time trying but have a rational conversation with them. They flat out say they don’t offer BYOD yet their very own website offers it as a self service feature. The supervisor was capable of comprehending my technical discussion about the different things I notice when. Troubleshooting this myself. I’ve been a software and hardware engineer for over 30 years. There are some fields on the settings that look like you should change some values but he wasn’t able to understand. He literally told me there was no indication that this feature was available and that the iPhone wasn’t listed as one of the BYOD devices.
you can clearly see that if a company of this magnitude actually implemented a self service BYOD page it isn’t a rumor. Also they tell you how to find the IMEI on an iPhone their directions are mixed up between phones but that’s because they are only customer service ZERO technical skill.
if anyone has any ideas
let me know.
