Rebuild the Spotlight index

Is anyone else having trouble with this Apple recommended procedure to fix the spotlight function?

Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac - Apple Support

I am unable to search for Calendar items older than 2 months. Also, when doing a calendar search for a particular word it's not gathering all available results even if they are within the 2 month window.

Running Ventura 13.2.1 on my MacBook Pro.

Thanks for any help!

If you try to reindex Spotlight be aware that when you try to go to the Privacy section you'll get an error code. It's a bug in Ventura so we'll have to wait for an update to fix it.

You can reindex the boot drive with the terminal command:

sudo mdutil -E /

followed by the Return or Enter key.

Verify >System Settings>Spotlight you have checked all appropriate boxes.

I have had the most complete luck, above all others, with the drag & drop method of the Macintosh HD icon method...compare your results and report back.
