Calendar search doesn't work

I'm using OS 13.0 Ventura but this has been a problem before upgrading to 13.0. I've read through some suggestions for re-indexing Spotlight, but they are for older OS versions and didn't help any. Spotlight returns multiple results but it also does not return results from Calendar.

Search within the Calendar app itself...in the upper right corner

Thanks leroydouglas for your reply. I probably should have been clearer in that I am familiar with the Search function in Calendar, the problem is it only works about 2 out of 10 times when using it. I can be staring right at an event (e.g. Dentist) in Calendar, search for it and the response I get is "no results". Following your reply...

  • I updated to OS 13.2.1 today.
  • I followed the instructions to reindex Spotlight (thanks for the updated link to instructions for Ventura OS). According to the instructions you "3. Drag the disk or folder that you want to index again to the list of locations that Spotlight is prevented from searching. Or click the add button (+) and select the disk or folder to add." I added the Macintosh HD. Next you "4. From the same list of locations, select the disk or folder that you just added. Then click the remove button (–) to remove it from the list." Then "5. Quit System Preferences. Spotlight will reindex the contents of the disk or folder. This can take some time, depending on the amount of information being indexed."

I can't see that it does anything? Are you supposed to see that it's reindexing?

After all this, no change. I still get "no results" to the majority of searches. :-(
