Mail App: Freezes When Typing Address

iPhone 12 Pro (iOS 16.3.1). When typing any letter in the “to” field, instead of giving email address suggestions, the app started to freeze.

Address suggestions, other than those from contacts, no longer appear at all.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

iOS 16 on an iPhone SE gen 3 1) mail app freezes. 2) cannot see additional email addresses when sending a CC to multiple recipients. Limited to 3. Screen is cut off and phone freezes. 3) neither of these resolves after a hard reset. 4) occurred with early versions of iOS 15.

Cursor jumps up in Mail on iPhone This happens to me all the time. I am typing an email, and if I go back to edit any portion of the text, suddenly my cursor will not let me get to the bottom of my email anymore. I can’t use the space at to force the cursor to the end of the text. I can’t close the keyboard to view more screen without closing the email and opening a saved draft. It’s such an annoying glitch. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Restart the device. That's it.
Still not solved --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
Follow the Apple article to resolve the issue --> If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen ...

Force restarting the phone or even re installing mail app did not help.
