Apple Wallet verification method

I am trying to add my bank card to the wallet but I am in the middle of nowhere with intermittent reception. After several attempts to receive the code by SMS - which expired, I clicked to see the alternative verification methods and now it has permanently switched to ‘Call your bank…’ which is completely impossible. How can I switch it back, whereby I at least have a chance to complete the process??
