Apple TV app on Mac OS no autoplay

Apple TV app on Mac OS no autoplay.

I’ve tried every piece of advice to get it to auto play the next episode in a tv series; from clicking play from the “up next” menu, to viewing the details & scrolling down to “how to watch” and click where it lists show title “Seasons 1 - 4” etc. as well as other things.

I’m so incredibly frustrated going in a few days now of having to get up to cliclean into every next episode - when this is an option that should be so visible and easy to find and use.

anyone have any suggestions?

thanks

It does not help. Just to make sure I'm clear, I'm having this problem on my MacBook Pro within the Apple TV app. Everything is fully up to date.

Your reply is the exact 1 of 2 answers I can find anywhere here or via Google search.

As I said, I've tried to start playing from the "Up Next" row / section. As well from the "Up Next" row, clicking into "View Details" & scrolling down to the "How to watch" section & selecting "Play seasons 1 - 4" which is the only other answer/solution I've found on this site as well as from a Google search.

I've tried to start playing the show title from every possible section & selection possible, including downloading every episode & trying to play from my Library, from a playlist, from the "Downloaded" section. Absolutely nothing will auto-play the next episode.

Hi floatsy,

It sounds like you're trying to use the Up Next feature built-into the TV app. Here's a resource to help you get that setup: Explore Watch Now in the Apple TV app - Apple Support

Scroll down to the section titled "Start watching from Up Next"

• In the Apple TV app navigate an item in the Up Next row, then select it to start playing.

When you ask Siri to play a TV show, Apple TV automatically starts the next episode you haven’t seen, whether it’s the middle of season 1, or last night’s episode.

We hope this helps.

Take care.
