Hello MegPNC,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are having an issue with the TV app on your Apple TV. If you haven't already, please force close the TV app:

"Switch between apps or force an app to quit
1. On the Siri Remote, press the TV button   twice quickly.
2. Windows representing each of the open apps appear in a row on the screen.
3. Apple TV screen showing App SwitcherStream Cha Cha Real Smooth on the Apple TV app
4. In app-switching view, navigate to a different app in the center of the screen, then do either of the following:
* Switch to the highlighted app: Press the clickpad center (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or touch surface (Siri Remote 1st generation).
* Force the highlighted app to quit: Swipe up on the clickpad or touch surface.
7. To leave app-switching view without changing apps, press the Back button  (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or Menu button button (Siri Remote 1st generation)."

And that is from Switch quickly between Apple TV apps - Apple Support

Once that is done, restart your Apple TV: How to turn off or restart your Apple TV - Apple Support

Also check for updates: Update Apple TV software - Apple Support

These steps can be helpful for situations like yours.

If you are still having issues, please give more details so we can look into possible next steps.

Cheers!
