Mail app sync

Keeps syncing whole gmail account. I dont want syncing spam folder. Lately it keeps downloading infected pdf's to my machine.

I cannot select only specific folders for syncing, why ?

macOS mail app not syncing junk mail I have an MS Exchange mail account - the junk mail folder is not syncing from it to macOS mail app. Folder says it's empty, but when I go to outlook web access, and look in my junk folder there are lots of emails in it. I get mail that is marked as junk sometimes, 2 of them over the last week that were important. I didn't know I had received them until I checked the web mail and saw them in the junk folder there. I kind of need this to work as I deal with a lot of email and going and checking the web mail defeats the purpose of using macOS mail... Also I have 6 mail accounts, and iCloud.com and 4 gmail accounts. The junk mail folder from all of them syncs fine... just the exchange one. Curiously, the mail app on my iPhone is syncing junk from that account fine.

Junk Mail is not syncing on my iphone in the mail app Hi! After this recent upgrade to IOS 16.3.1 it appears that my outlook junk mail folder is not syncing with my iphone. I tried all the things... changing the push, fetch feature, deleting the app and reinstalling, deleting the account and reactivating. None of these work. Does anyone have a fix for this? FYI I can view my junk mail folder in outlook on my MacBook Air. Thanks!

While we cannot speculate as to why the Mail app syncs the entire email account, you could provide Apple with any feedback you may have about this. Keep in mind, Apple reviews all feedback, but you may not hear back on any given. Apple does not request unsolicited ideas.
