I find it irritating that my series 8 can’t long my iPhone to find it when locked. I need to have the phone to unlock it (corporate profile added for work). Is there something I’m missing here? It would be extremely helpful to at least ping the phone to find it. Not asking for other feature just a couple options. It should be noted the ping function works well if my watch is unlocked.
If your corporate profile prevents the Watch being unlocked normally with a passcode then there is little else that can be done to assist you apart from suggesting that you make the request to your company to change their policy which seems to have no real advantages for security.
Thanks ! Yeah my screen is grey’d out just like it but that’s due to the policy/profile. Oversight is what I’m stating since there doesn’t appear to be a way to fox it and have work profile. Thanks I’ll submit feedback.

Did you happen to click that link that I put in there for LD150? Does your phone screen look like that user's screenshot?
Also, I understand what you are saying about needing the ability to access the "Ping" feature while the watch is locked, and especially if this is something new in the latest updates! It seems like an oversight on the part of Apple. However, I'm sure there are far more personal phones and watches then there are those set up under corporate plans.
Your idea is worth suggesting to Apple and you can do that by filling out and submitting this form:
Agreed - this is more or say hey Apple make it so I can ping my phone even though the watch is locked. Since I can’t unlock my watch without the phone I need to find. Thanks for the response. I also just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something.
Yeah - personal devices but I have corporate profile installed. The problem with Apples security options though is that I need the phone to unlock the watch, however I can’t attempt to find the phone via “ping sound” when it’s locked. I would love an option to have this available on the watches Lock Screen - similar options to have things available or visible on the iPhone Lock Screen exist.
So you're saying that the phone and watch are your personal devices and that you have chosen some policy/profile? Can you explain that a little more? Is there not a way to undo it and have normal devices?

Corporate profiles can only be removed by the company IT bods, but I didn't know they were capable of removing the watch passcode facility, nor why they would want to. Too many tries at passcode and it locks which should be secure enough.
It is just possible to snatch an Apple Watch with a couple of fingers under the back and potentially retain Wrist Detection, but to what end?
Most corporate profiles are really "corporate Screen Time" and anti resale by employees.
That article does not mention Watch OS either but Watch Settings, General, Profiles does exist and I assume that is where it resides on pacopete's watch.
