IPhone and Apple watch are shutdown / reboot randomly at same time

For last month or so, my iphone 13 mini and apple watch SE 1st gen both shutdown / reboot at the same time. I have tried unpairing / re-pairing the watch multiple times but the issue remains. Updated both the phone and watch to version 16.3.1 but to no avail. Does anybody know how to fix this issue?


I have observed it only occurs when apple watch is in use. If i leave the watch on the charger, the watch and my phone do not reboot.

Unfortunately those crash reports require a computer to analyse them, we cannot help.

My advice:

(a) Unpair the Watch

(b)Backup the iPhone

(c)Reset the iphone to factory settings

(d) Set it up again without restoring the backup

Only install the most essential software, or preferably no third party software at all. Add back your mail accounts by all means.

(e) Pair the watch again

Run it for a day.

If the problem goes away, repeat steps (a) (c) (d) but this time restore the backup then (e)

If the problem comes back then you know what the cause is.

Make sure you have no VPN or VPN based ad-blocker on iphone. Uninstall them then remove any profiles (iPhone Settings, General VPN & Device Management)


Then reset the router to factory settings which usually involves a paperclip in a little hole. 


Then in the iphone, Settings, General, Transfer or reset iphone, Reset, Reset network settings. 


Reconnect the iPhone to Wi-Fi and try again

Thanks, i have no VPN. Have tried resetting this phone at home and both at Genius bar, to no avail. Wasted so much time, have been to 2 genius bar appointments, they run diagnostics which shows no problem at hardware level. Going to another appointment tomorrow again. :(


In my latest attempt where reset was done at Genius bar (clean reset to 16.3.1), as soon as i arrived home, phone was shutdown. In app analytics, i see following jetsam reports / crashes.
