Issues with saving to network drives

We have 4 users who when saving Layout/SketchUp/InDesign files to a network drive that they SMB to, files appear to save fine but then show as having 0KB. The files then can't be opened.

This also happens when files are accessed from the network drive, edited and then saved back, regardless of how small the edit.

All 4 users are running MacBook Pro 14-Inch 2021 with M1 Max and 32GB RAM, on Ventura 13.2. Issues seem to have started since updating from 13.1, but can't confirm update history myself.

Any suggestions/anyone else experiencing the same

Hi bunker80,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

We understand a few people are unable to stave to a network drive. Have one or more of the users try saving a different file type to determine whether this could be the issue. Which app are they saving from? Also, are there multiple devices connected such as a display and external devices?

Hi ASTRO24,

They're able to save to the network drive, but it becomes a blank file. It's happened with InDesign and SketchUp LayOut files. This happens when connected to a USB Hub/Displays, and when disconnected, as well as when on the office network and via VPN.

It's not the connection to the drive as I can resolve both the share name and the IP address of the folder.
