Importing old stickies database to Ventura

I've been able to drag my stickies database file into my library and see my stickies with no problems with each new laptop I've purchased but this latest one with Ventura will not pull up my stickies... any suggestions?

Prior to macOS Catalina, the Stickies database was a digest format file containing all of the stickies within it. Ordinarily, when one installed Catalina and first launched Stickies, it opened the old format Stickies database, and extracted the individual stickies to their own RTF document squirreled away in the operating system.

When you first launch the Stickies application on Ventura, it should perform the first paragraph task of generating separate RTF stickies documents and thereafter the old Stickies database file is no longer used.
