Importing old stickies database to Ventura

Prior to macOS Catalina, the Stickies database was a digest format file containing all of the stickies within it. Ordinarily, when one installed Catalina and first launched Stickies, it opened the old format Stickies database, and extracted the individual stickies to their own RTF document squirreled away in the operating system.

When you first launch the Stickies application on Ventura, it should perform the first paragraph task of generating separate RTF stickies documents and thereafter the old Stickies database file is no longer used.

If the old format StickiesDatabase file is in its usual location (e.g. /Users/yourname/Library), then launching the Stickies application on Ventura should detect the old database and automatically perform the conversion to split the individual digest stickie entries into their own separate RTF files.

Copy/paste the old sticky note content into TextEdit (Rich Text - .rtf), and then open that on Ventura and copy/paste the individual TextEdit content into a new Sticky note on Ventura.
