Speaker phone randomly turning off during call

My speaker phone randomly turns off during an conversation. Its unless im doing something while im talking or i have to keep talking or itll just turn off speaker phone. Also when it turns off speakerphone, if im on mute. It'll turn that off making unmute. Its annoying. I don't have bluetooth on and i'm up to date on my phone, how can i fix this?

Just to confirm, when you say that the sound will cut off, is this still occurring while using speaker phone during a call, or does this happen when using other apps as well?


If the issue is occurring in multiple apps, check out the steps in the following resource that may be able to help with this issue: If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker - Apple Support


Also if you have Bluetooth enabled, try disabling that temporarily to see if that's able to help with the issue. This can help rule out a possible issue with your iPhone routing audio to a nearby Bluetooth device unexpectedly.
