When you see a message like this, one thing you can do is check Apple’s System Status page to see if there are any issues reported. Just follow this link: 

Apple - Support - System Status

If any issues are reported, wait until the issues are resolved and then try again.

Other things that could help include restarting your device and trying again from another network. Both could have an affect on this. You can read how to restart here:

If you're still receive server errors, yes, we do recommend connecting to Wi-Fi to isolate the behavior further.
