Won’t install apps needs new version
It is a older Mac 5 el captain but it won’t install apps and it’s running older version in the new version

Apparently your Mac's operating system, being an older 32 bit OS, it will not accept the newer 64 bit apps. Unless the Mac and be upgraded to a 64 bit OS, there is nothing you can do. Virtually all apps are only supporting the 64 bit platform now.
