Ipod Classic no longer able to edit playlists?
Is it true that no recent OS (like Big Sur) or similar era version of Music (the app, not the subscription service) will allow you to edit a playlist that is ON an iPod already?
Apple, if so, what was the point of disabling this feature? It's a huge P.I.T.A. for anyone who likes 24 bit music at home but has an iPod that only plays 16 bit. I can no longer simply delete the 24 bit files off the iPod? I must maintain duplicates of all playlists now or constantly create/delete playlists every time I want to change one song on a playlist on the iPod? This seems pointlessly stupid. Why was this feature disabled? Or am I missing something here?
Before you reply folks, please realize I am talking about files I own, not "Apple Music" the subscription/streaming service. I do not use the streaming service. I'm expressing annoyance here as to why it seems Apple has "updated" iTunes to a less functional music management system (at least for those of us who like owning music and paying artists).
