Friend's incoming emails suddenly going to spam

Can I teach apple mail that an incoming email address is NOT spam? Can I modify the filters Apple uses to divert email to the spam folder? Intel iMac, latest MacOS.

iMac 21.5″ 4K, macOS 11.6

Check your Mail settings for Junk Mail.

See if "Sender of message is in my Contacts" is selected:
