Why did Mac OS preview stopped supporting of EPS and PS format since Ventura? Out of your mind?

Why did Mac OS preview stopped supporting of EPS and PS format since Ventura? As a scientist who plots my data always to EPS, Preview is the KEY to open them effortlessly. After so many years, now Apple decided to remove this EPS functionality of Preview? What does Apple have in their mind? I really don't understand it!

Try something like GraphicConverter— free trial, great app. Control click one of your files and "open with"

and select the change all option...

This is a user-to-user support forum. We don't know what goes on inside Apple.

Young people don't use EPS anymore. If you want to stick with Apple, you can use something like SVG instead. The hip kids use R, Python, or Jupyter notebooks.
