FaceTime is so buggy in multi-device scenario

All of these things happen frequently (though not always):

  • When I make a call on my MacBook, I receive the same call on my iPhone. If I pick up the call on my iPhone, calls on both devices crash and I have to re-dial.
  • When I have an existing call on iPhone, and I tap "Switch to Mac" on MacBook, the call becomes a temporary third-party call (my iPhone, my MacBook, and the other person I am talking to) for a few seconds. The most hilarious thing is what happened then: the connection from the other person is dropped, leaving me and myself talking with each other.

Have these functions been carefully debugged before they are released to users?

MacBook Air, macOS 13.1

Hello Kaichuan,

From what you've shared your Continuity features are not working as expected. If this is correct we recommend ensuring your devices are updated and your settings mirror those suggested on the following page: Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch - Apple Support

Should the behavior persist we'd recommend reaching out for additional support in your region. You can do so here: Get Support
