Blocked contact can reach me on my Apple Watch. Phone and watch are synchronised

Hi,

I discovered that even if I have my watch and phone connected and mirrored settings, I still receive texts from blocked contacts on my Apple Watch.

Interesting thing is that it only shows me messages from people who also own an iPhone. When I block someone with Android - I don’t get their messages on my watch.

It is very frustrating. I think it’s a huge bug and should be fixed asap.

I don’t want to receive messages on my Apple Watch from blocked contacts. Please help

Greetings agnieszka61,

Here are a few initial steps we’d like to suggest you take, if you haven’t already.

1. Restart both your Apple Watch and it’s companion iPhone.

Restart your Apple Watch

2. Make sure both devices are up to date

Update your iPhone or iPad

Update your Apple Watch

If the situation is persisting, then we’d next like to have you reset the sync data

3. Watch app on iPhone > My Watch > General > Reset > Reset Sync Data. This step erases contact and calendar data from your Apple Watch, then syncs it back.
