Anyone know how to activate the small toolbar on notes?
sometimes it come on by itself, sometimes i can get it by docking the pen > activating on screen keyboard > picking the pen > dismissing the keyboard. It’s a hassle and works half the time.
I don’t like the main toolbar for pen as it greys out the new line button (and some others) frequently.

Almost all keyboard options are on (see image). Tried restart as well - no success. No mini toolbar and some functions of the large toolbar are still blocked.
I've seen that guide before but isn't much help beyond basics.

Let's make sure that you have Predictive and other keyboard option are toggled on. You can locate this by going to Settings > General > Keyboard. Also, try restarting your iPad as well: Restart your iPad
