Apple Watch invite glitch with specific person

My sister just recently got an Apple Watch and it won’t allow us to add each other.

If she sends me the invite, I can accept but it’s doesn’t add her activity rings correctly and it disappears. If I send the invite to her. She doesn’t even get it.

Both of us can add other people so it’s not a general issue
