Your phone may have been set up as a trusted number or as a recovery contact.
Get your parent to edit their list of trusted items. Go to the section: About trusted phone numbers and trusted devices in the document Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support
To see, add, or change your trusted phone numbers:
- On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Go to Settings > your name > Password & Security. Next to Trusted Phone Number, tap Edit.
- On a Mac: Choose Apple menu > System Settings (or System Preferences), then click your name (or Apple ID). Click Password & Security, then add or remove a trusted phone number.
- In a web browser: Go to the Account Security section of https://appleid.apple.com/

If you don't want to be someone's recovery contact, follow these steps on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 15 or iPadOS 15 or later
1. Go to Settings, then tap your name.
2. Tap Password & Security, then tap Account Recovery.
3. Under Account Recovery For, tap the person's name.
4. Tap Remove Contact.
