I try to send an invite to my wife from the Home app but the invite stays in Invitation Pending status. We are both logged into iCloud and have home sharing turned on. I've tried the steps where we restart our home hub and all iPhones and iPads. This has not made a change. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Noone seems to have any clue here. I’ve been investigating it since a month or so. The invitations never hit my macOS 13.2 MacBook Pro Home app. Both ways – I can’t invite anyone from my computer either. Seems like HomePod is invisible for my MacBook Pro Home app although music streaming works. All iOS devices work well with Home app triggers and automations. Multiple resets didn’t help.
I figured out the problem. My wife had an old iPad that we gave to our granddaughter. This iPad was still using my wife's apple ID. Because of this, it was intercepting the Homekit invite. Once we turned off the off iPad, I sent a new invite to my wife and it worked. Hopefully, this will help others track down problems.
