Alarm icon shows in top task bar even though no alarms are set and no sleep alarm set either. Turning iPhone (SE) off and on does not help as it’s still there. Also setting the alarm and allowing it to go off also does not erase it. What’s the fix?

Okay strange... have you tried a Forced Reboot then? If not, try this -
1. Press Volume Up and quickly release
2. Press Volume Down and quickly release
3. Press and hold the Power Button.
Hold the Power button until the screen goes black, release when you see the Apple Boot Logo.

ok so problem solved ( for now)
Before deleting app I went to
Health App
choose Show all Health Data
Select Sleep ( Past 7 days )
scroll down choose
Sleep Schedule
turn it off
icon immediately disappears.

Wonder if Apple is aware of this as it doesn’t make sense.
Ok so with sleep off the alarm still works but you can’t use Sleep/Wake schedule. But if you turn that on the icon will reappear even if nothing is scheduled in Sleep/Wake. That should be a fix.
Thanks for the help but I already tried all the above and there are no alarms set. Whatever is on is connected to music as that’s what plays ie not a sound alert. I checked Apple Music and Spotify to no avail.
Factory reset too much work but may have to try if nothing else comes up. Will see what happens in am tomorrow
The clock at the top, which on your screenshot is connected to iOS, and is not something that neither Spotify nor Apple Music can show. Normally, it is also only the Clock app that shows this icon.
Just got another idea. Delete the Clock app and restart your iPhone afterwards. Remember to delete completely, and not just move it from the home screen.
If you have activated a Wake Up time in the sleep schedule, this may be the reason why you cannot remove the Alarm Clock icon from the status bar, even if you remove all alarms from the Clock app.

Thanks but Sleep alarm is not set as per my description / all alarms including wake / sleep are NOT set.

also tried restarting iPhone ad well as letting alarm go off then turning it off and deleting it.

If you have any thoughts on this I’m all ears. This morning at 7:10 my iPhone started playing music. No alarms are set and sleep/wake is off.
I stopped the music but can’t find where the setting is to disable it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Okay, that suggests - that there IS an active alarm somewhere.
Try going to:
Settings > Focus,
Do you have a Sleep profile, if so - then delete it.
Also open the Health app. Look in the overview for "Sleep"
Find Complete sleep schedule and options and tap. Then deactivate Sleep Schedule.
Also check again in the Alarm Clock app if there is an active alarm.
Last suggestion is to restore your device to factory settings. I just can't figure out what's wrong.
