Grammarly Desktop using huge memory!!!

I have Macbook Pro M1, and Grammarly Desktop is using 17GB of memory. I have a total of 16GB of RAM. With this, is start getting annoying force quit application prompts. The problem is that Grammarly Desktop is not showing in the list of force quit apps. I had to open the Activity Monitor app and saw that the Grammarly Desktop app is using 17GB of memory !!!!I immediately force quit the Grammarly Desktop running app, and also removed the app from my system. Any sugessions including on alternate apps to Grammarly are welcome.

I'm having the same issue and would appreciate any constructive feedback. The Grammarly desktop app runs in the background (tray icon as soon as the app is launched). There's a block feature to choose where Grammarly is NOT supposed to run (though I'd prefer the functionality of selecting where it DOES run - otherwise, it's just checking everything until you tell it not to).

This may be more of a Grammarly issue than a Mac issue, but if anyone has figured out how to keep Grammarly in its box, that would be useful, as Grammarly's functionality goes a bit beyond "Auto Correct Spelling."

Only Grammarly, not Apple, is responsible for the Grammarly for Mac application. Contact Grammarly and bring this up with them, or get the most recent version of the application and assess its RAM behavior after you update Ventura to 13.2.1.

I use Grammarly for Mac every day on Ventura 13.2.1 and I had no issues with the application on my M1 mini (16 GB), or M2 mini pro (32 GB).

Do we take it the User does not trust the Auto Correct Spelling available and built into macOS Ventura ?

System Setting >> Keyboard and refer to image below

Aside - the current version of Ventura as of Jan 23, 2023 is now 13.2 if not already installed
