Unable to change my son's location name in Find My app (Mac OS Ventura 13.1)

In the Find My App I click on my son's name, then I then scroll down and click edit location name. I then pick a default location name - the location where the device is, like school or home - and it does not change.

What am I doing wrong?

I have been unable to edit location name in find my app I have been unable to edit location name in “Find my” app. When I change a location label for one of my family members that I follow the location label does not change. I have done it over and over for months and nothing has changed.

First step would be to update to Ventura 13.2. This might resolved the issue.
