HomePod 2 voice balance

Hi. I just got two new Homepod 2 as a stereo pair. They are excellent for music. However one of the reasons I bought them was the product description to use them with Apple TV+ for Dolby Atmos and Spatial audio. Watching Apple TV+ episodes the HP2 are boosting the dialogue to the point where you have to turn it down to be normal - and then you lose the background music and sound effects. The balance on these new devices seems to accentuate voice to an impractical level. I know voice balance is a personal thing but everyone who has heard it agrees it sounds totally unbalanced. Yesterday I disconnected and used my 10 year old speakers which sound normal. I know there is no equalisation on HP2 and the Home app. Any advice before I return them for a refund? I've never heard a device boost dialogue to the point where it dominates the soundtrack completely. So disappointed!
