Syncing podcasts between iPhone and Apple Watch

I regularly listen to podcasts on my iPhone. I've recently bought a new Apple Watch and I'm struggling to get the podcasts to sync on my podcast app.

This is a regular thing across my other devices, but it is pretty frustrating with the Watch as one of the reasons I bought it was so I could listen to podcasts at the gym instead of taking my phone in with me. There are downloaded podcasts on the Watch which pre-date the purchase of the Watch...

Seems like you are new to Apple world of "syncing" between devices.

I tell you - best way is to use some third-party application, because usually they work better in anything that is about syncing between devices. Photos, SMS, Books, weather... those are all Apple products that I try to make syncing between devices and fail miserably.

My Podcasts doesn't even sync between iPhone and anything else, so yes, don't expect this to work properly.

Trust me, I have 14 Apple devices so I know that this company can't really make their products sync properly. As long as you use only one - it works quite ok.
