AirPods pro drops custom transparency mode

I set my iPods pro to higher transparency amplification due to my hearing loss. Often after a change in ambient noise (loud restaurant or traffic) this accommodation is removed which leaves my iPods either in normal transparency mode or off.

What can I do to avoid this or, indeed is this a bug.

Thanks

Barry

An interesting thing happened when I sent an email with the AirPods connected to my iPad.

The AirPods lost all transparency and appeared to be off.

I waited about 60 seconds (wifi activity has been know to knock out BT on non apple earbuds). I then pressed the volume on the control centre and none of the usual indications of audio accommodations appeared.

I now find I am locked out of custom accommodations and don't seem to be able to find my way back.

Hi bholtzkener,

Glad to hear that restarting has restored transparency mode for you. At this point, we would recommend monitoring to see if the iPhone continues to operate as expected. It could very well be resolved as restarting the iPhone resets many functions of the iPhone and it's system. Restarting is often one of the initial steps of troubleshooting multiple issues.

Cheers.
