Mac Mini M2 Monitor Compatibility

Hi,

Could anyone provide guidance on monitor compatibility for the Mac mini M2?

I've seen the refresh rate of 60hz. Does this mean I specifically need to buy a monitor with that refresh rate or could i buy a monitor with a refresh rate of 144hz and still use it?

Many thanks

Have a look, at > Connect a display to Mac mini - Apple Support

and "Display Support" at > Mac mini - Technical Specifications - Apple

DisplayPort and USB-C equipped displays can run higher refresh rates using premium cables.

A DisplayPort compatible display on an 8k USB-C to DisplayPort is preferred for wide screen, high res. and high refresh rates. for example > https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09M38CXZ3/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?
