Finder error: can't find file "xxx"

Hello, I've a problem with an updated mac. Sometimes, when I double click on a file finder tell me "Can't find file 'xxx'".

So I wait around 5-10 seconds then retry to double click and the file will open.

This strange thing happen also with network file (both smb and afp protocol) and with the file on the local drive of the mac (e.g. on the desktop).

Not sure of age of your iMac but you might want to try doing a Safe Boot which performs diagnostics and repairs many things it finds wrong. Worth a try.
