Apple watch is not muting "hide alerts" messages.

I just got my new iphone 14 pro, and my apple watch is now not muting "hide alert" messages. I have paired my watch with my new phone, and reset the phone and apple watch. All was working fine with my watch and iphone 11 before the switch. Any solutions? This constant texting from 19 people is driving me nuts. Not all are apple users, so I don't have the option to leave the conversation. We have about three threads going, and I have set "hide alerts" on all of them, deleted the conversations, and they still give me an audible alert on my watch. Please help! I like to hop in occasionally so see what's going on, but I'm really aggravated right now.

Hi janisg1017,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you're unable to mute your notifications for a few conversations on your Apple Watch, correct?

You mentioned you reset your iPhone and Apple Watch. Do you mean that you restarted both of them at the same time? If not, go ahead and restart both devices at the same time then mute your alerts again. If you need help to restart your devices, we've included resources below:

Are you able to mute all notifications on your Apple Watch? This article will show you how to do so: Notifications on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

"How to mute or turn off an app's notifications on your Apple Watch

  1. Touch and hold the top of the watch face.
  2. Wait for Notification Center to show, then swipe down.
  3. Swipe left on the notification that you want to mute or turn off, then tap the More button .
  4. Choose from the options that are available for that app. Depending on the app, you can mute notifications for the rest of the day, mute them for an hour, or turn them off completely.

You can turn on an app's notifications if you want to see them again:

  1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Scroll down to the list of installed apps, then turn on the app that you want to receive notifications from."

If you turn down the volume of your Apple Watch, does it respond as you'd expect?

We look forward to your reply.

Cheers!
