Get haptic alert for being back in desired heart rate (workout) – Apple Watch

I'd like to set up an alert when I am back in my desired heart rate.

Background:

I often train in a specific heart rate (e.g. running in heart rate 2). So I have set up a workout that has a heart rate alert for heart rate 2. As soon as I run too fast and my heart rate goes out of heart rate 2 (into 3 or higher), I get a haptic alert on my Apple Watch. So far so good.

Problem:

After the alert I run slower to get back into heart rate 2. However I constantly need to look at the Apple Watch to see a visible alert that I am back in heart rate 2.

I'd love to configure a haptic alert telling me that I am back in my desired heart rate, so that I do not need to look at the watch (dangerous when you do trail running).

Any ideas how to achieve that?

Hello helpx,

You may find some helpful info regarding setting up alerts for the workout here: Customize workouts on Apple Watch

Add alerts to a workout
You can receive a variety of alerts during a workout. For example, for an Outdoor Run workout, you can be alerted when your heart rate falls within 133 – 141 beats per minute.
To set up alerts, follow these steps.
1. Open the Workout app  on your Apple Watch.
2. Turn the Digital Crown to the workout you want to do.
3. Tap the More button, tap a tile’s edit button, then tap Alerts.
4. Tap an alert you want to receive, then configure the alert.
Alerts you add are used whenever you do that workout.

Hi Eric_G1, it seems that you also didn't read my comment and just copy&paste a general solution.

If you read it again, I have been successful setting up a haptic leaving heart rate zone alert, so what you describe is exactly what I had done and it is working just fine.

What does not work is setting up a haptic re-entering heart rate zone alert, it's only visual.
