iPad and iPhone running iOS 16.3 won't sync with Mac running Monterey 12.6.2, Mac tells me an update is needed. Does this mean I have to install Ventura ?

Mac OS Monterey 12.6.3 will no longer show iPhone 16.3 in finder with wifi. Also the latest update to Safari will not allow Netflix graphics. Apple is aware and Netflix puts the blame on them. Mid 2016 or earlier MacBook Pros cannot upgrade to Ventura, so now we are stuck with glitches and possible more glitches if Apple does not fix these issues.
No, it is not an upgrade to Mac OS Ventura. It is simply an update to allow Finder within Mac OS to communicate with the iPad.
There are new features within iPadOS 16.3 that similarly require update of macOS to maintain full compatibility.
And so the answer is yes, I need to install Ventura? Rats. At least Apple could say what exactly needs to be updated instead of giving this vague message. Thanks!
