re-storing safari tabs

I always have about 15 tabs on safari open (I know, I know but it actually helps me stay organized). Unfortunately, one page was frozen and it caused a freeze on everything so I force quit closed safari after a quick google search on my phone made me think I could restore the tabs. The instructions were simply to go to "History" and then click "reopen all windows from last session." However, that option is greyed out in my dropdown and hence not even an option! Urghhh. Anybody know another way? I realllly had some important stuff saved in those tabs : (

Hello spottieottiegirl,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you.

Since the option to reopen windows from your last session isn't an option, you might try to recover them by using the recently closed pages option. This is covered in article, Go back to webpages you already visited in Safari on Mac - Apple Support.

See recently closed pages: Choose History > Recently Closed. You can also choose History > Reopen Last Closed Tab or History > Reopen Last Closed Window to reopen the last tab or window you closed, or Reopen All Windows from Last Session.

If that doesn't work, combing through your browsing history may be the only option to recover them.

If these are sites that you use regularly and have to return to quite frequently, have you considered pinning them? If not, check out the information about this option here: Pin frequently visited websites in Safari on Mac - Apple Support.

Best regards.
