Apple Pencil Tilt Not Working in Notes App

Hello,

after updating my iPadOS to 16.2, I can no longer use tilt features for my apple pencil in the Notes app.

I have of course restarted my iPad since updating, and closed out / re-opened the app.

My pencil is most definitely not broken, which leads me to conclude that the feature was simply removed for some reason?

Why was this feature removed? Is there any way to get it back?

I've seen two similar posts with completely irrelevant "answers", so please don't try to answer this unless you have relevant insight.

I noticed that as well and for me it's a significant downgrade to the previous behaviour. It is still working in notes app, just in fewer situations. The seem to have removed it from the eraser (which is a bummer), but it is still there for the textmarker and the crayon for example. So you can check that your pencil is still working as expected and that apple just made the experience worse :/

Try updating your iPad to the current version of iPadOS - as of Monday, this being iPadOS 16.3.

I updated, and there is no change. Tilt features are still missing.

Same issue here, IPadOS updated to 16.4.1 and still no tilt on IPad Pro 2021. Is this have something to do with the new hover feature on newer iPad Pro?
