The output for sound is distorted making the irig and the app completely useless. AmpliTube tonex seems t work a bit better but it is still affected. Does anyone have the same problem? How to solve it?

I think you misunderstood my issue.
Amplitube stoped working with the new IOS update. It worked well previously and it works in Android. Other software of IK multimedia, like Tonex (I used a demo version), works just fine. I've paid for Amplitube and I don't have the will to pay once again for another tool like Tonex.
So my guess is that there should be some change ont the sound settings with IOS 16.3 messing around with other apps having the need to deal with sound drivers.

We recommend using the steps below to help with distorted sound on your iPhone:
1. Remove all screen protectors, films, or cases from your device.
2. Check the speaker opening to see if it's blocked or dirty. On iPhone only, make sure that the receiver isn't blocked or dirty.
3. If necessary, clean the speaker or receiver opening with a small, soft-bristled brush. Make sure that the brush is clean and dry.
4. Go to Settings > Sounds (or Settings > Sounds & Haptics), and drag the Ringer and Alerts slider back and forth a few times. If you don't hear any sound, or if your speaker button on the Ringer and Alerts slider is dimmed, your speaker might need service.
5. If you hear sound, try making a call with your iPhone and turn on speakerphone. On iPad or iPod touch, make a FaceTime call. If you still can't hear, or hear static or crackling, then your network or reception could be the issue. Try to call again later, or from a different location.

Yea but an Apple update screwed it up and the help desk above is not getting it
No Apple didn't screw it up. Apple put out an update and the makers of amplitude did update their software to work with the updates.
It is 100% up to the app developer to update their software to work with the current operating system, not Apple.
AmpliTube is not an Apple product. What did the makers of AmpliTube tell you when you asked them for support for their product?
