Apple Mail only shows last month of email on Gmail Account

Why does my program only show 1 months worth of email on my gmail account?

I have a pop mail account and a DIFFERENT gmail account that both show everything..

But my main gmail account only shows one months worth.... when I log into that account using a web browser, I can see all the old emails... but I dont know the setting, or WHERE the setting is located, on the Apple Mail program...

I'd love some help pls.

POP Mail is what is stored on your Mac.

There is a separate section for what's on the server which google shows when you visit gmail.com on the web or google email on another device via a web browser.

If you store Gmail as IMAP, you will see all the messages at once. And then you can create folders on your Mac to be exclusively for your Mac, and leave the rest on Google for your other devices to see email that you want accessible to all devices.

Thanks for the reply.. but I don't understand...

Isn't Gmail automatically stored as imap on my mac mail program?

I have 2 different gmail addresses that I use.

One of them shows ALL my emails.... the other gmail account only shows the last months worth of emails..

I cannot see the difference in settings on the mail program or when accessing either gmail account on a webpage.
