Apple Watch unpair fail

So I’ve just bought an iPhone 14 and transferred all my data and files from my 11 pro, but when I went to change my watch from the 11 to the 14, I go to unpair from the 11 and it said failed to unpair. But, when going back into the watch app on the 11 it no longer has the Watch available, but the watch itself still has all the settings and pre set things and working as normal… just without having a paired phone. I don’t know how to fix this and I’ve read that you can do a reset on it and it could fix it and make it like it’s stock again, but that won’t remove the activation lock. I don’t know how to go about this and I don’t want to brick my watch, please help!!

Yes you can reset it.

If you are using the same Apple ID then the activation lock is not a problem.

If you are on a different AppleID then sign into

https://icloud/com/find and remove the Watch from your account.

Simple erase

Put your watch on its charger and keep it there until you complete these steps.

Press and hold the side button until you see the power button in the upper-right corner of the display.

Press and hold the Digital Crown until you see Erase all content and settings.

Tap Reset, then tap Reset again to confirm.

Wait for the process to finish, then if necessary set up your Apple Watch again. When asked, restore from a backup.

Erasing all content and settings erases all media, data, and settings from your Apple Watch, but it does not remove Activation Lock if it has one.
