Lost recipes

After updating to 16.2, we have been unable to open Recipe Book, and the app appears to be no longer available in the App Store. How can we recover our recipes for use with another app?

RecipeBook not working My RecipeBook app cannot be opened anymore. I know it had been off the AppStore for a while but it was working on my iPad until the update to iPadOS 16. There are many recipes in the app which I entered painstakingly over many years. Any suggestions to get RecipeBook to work again? failing that, is there any way to retrieve the recipes?
