Can I use my old SIM card?

Can I use my old SIM card from my non working iPhone and put it in the new iPhone ?

iPhone 12, iOS 16

Yes, if it both use the same size and if your new phone will even let you use a conventional SIM card. These documents should provide the information you need:

Remove or switch the SIM card in your iPhone - Apple Support
