Receiving event invites for other users of shared google calendar inside iCal

Our small team share calendars and have done so for awhile without issue. Recently I upgraded my phone to an iPhone14 Pro and now I am receiving invitations sent to others whose calendars are shared with me, even when I’m not invited. I can accept or decline these meeting on behalf of those other users (but I shouldn’t be able too). No one else is having this issue. What’s changed and how do I fix this?

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

Hi greeneweb,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.

It sounds like this may be an issue with Google. You can try de-syncing the Google calendars in Settings > Calendar > Accounts, restarting your iPhone and then re-syncing the Google Calendars. This may trigger them to start working as you are expecting.

If that doesn't help, we'd recommend talking to your IT department if they are administrating these Google Calendars. If you don't have anyone that does that, reach out to Google Calendar Help.

Have a fantastic day!
