freeform tables

How do I work on Tables within free form on Mac?

Dragging tabular data in from any source (Notes, Numbers etc.) seems to create a text box!

Thanks

Ok.

paste into freefrom

all table formatting is gone as if it were converted into text. It is no longer a table.

So I share, for example from within numbers with myself to collaborate. It comes into my messages from myself. I drag that message onto Freeform. That has provided a link to the original file?

Actual result… It has created a new file when I go into Numbers, I have my original file and I seem to have a shared file. I do not want to have a shared file. I do not want to have yet. Another copy of a file I want to have my file. Dropbox will be no problem. OneDrive will be no problem other platforms over the last 20 years … no problem , iCloud Drive is a bit of a joke .

So finder and files app have no unified path structure even with the cloud?

Folbo,

What you are describing might be expected since you are embedding the file itself in Freeform. If you want to have changes saved to the original, you would share the file itself via iCloud Drive: Share files and folders in iCloud Drive on iCloud.com - Apple Support

You can even create links that way to post on Freeform if you'd prefer.

Copy Link: After you select Copy Link, a text box appears. Add the email addresses or phone numbers of your participants. Click Share. A new window appears with the link for your file. Copy the link and send it.

Take care.

I can't seem to create a table in freeform. DO wehave any table like shapes?

Further, when i copy and past a Numbers table (3 or 4 cells & rows), into freeform, they all end up in a single text box -- useless.

When i copy from Notes -- nothing is pasted.

When i copy & paste from Pages -- all cell info is vertically aligned in a text box

Do we have any table functionality?
