Homepod mini won't connect to WIFI

My network works fine; and other homepods are connected to it. One single homepod refuses to connect after I properly run the setup There is a 16.3 homepod update that won't install from the home app presumably because there is no wifi connection.

Tried everything, resets, reboots, removal, forgetting network, rebooting router.. Any tips?

I have repeatedly unplugged and plugged the HomePod as well as the router without any results. Please help me.

HomePod Can't connect to wifi? I have an original HomePod. It worked well for years in a stereo pair, then recnetly had issues connecting to my wifi. I tried to set up the homepod after a reset, and now it can't connect to my wifi at all (it fails with the "unable to join Wi-Fi" error on my iPhone). This works on the other homepod. What can I do to fix this? Without wifi, this thing is useless, right? The other 40 something wifi devices on my network are all working fine. Wifi router has been restarted, updated, et cetera'd so I don't think the issue lies on that side of things.

Discovered I had to use my iPad as a Hub and not my iPhone. Go figure.
