HomePod Can't connect to wifi?

I have an original HomePod. It worked well for years in a stereo pair, then recnetly had issues connecting to my wifi. I tried to set up the homepod after a reset, and now it can't connect to my wifi at all (it fails with the "unable to join Wi-Fi" error on my iPhone). This works on the other homepod. What can I do to fix this? Without wifi, this thing is useless, right? The other 40 something wifi devices on my network are all working fine. Wifi router has been restarted, updated, et cetera'd so I don't think the issue lies on that side of things.

Hello jaw1959,

Be sure to check that the iOS device being used for setting up the HomePod is fully updated (iOS 16.1.2 is the current latest version), since updating can typically resolve abnormal behavior that you may experience: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If updating doesn't resolve that for you, reset your network settings to ensure there's a fresh connection to the Wi-Fi network being used with the HomePod:

If you're using iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
If you're using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

If the same behavior occurs after completing those steps, reach out to Apple directly for additional assistance using: Official Apple Support

Cheers.
