New Apple TV won’t turn my TV off.

Today, I upgraded to the latest Apple TV 4K. Previously, I had the older Apple TV set to turn on/off the tuner and the TV. This worked great. Today, the only change I made was to swap out the Apple TV. Same HDMI cable, same power cable as before. Now, the Apple TV will turn off the tuner, but not the TV. Any thoughts on what caused this? Everything else is the same.

Apple TV 4k not switching on TV sometimes Hey community, I've bought recently an Apple TV 4K, my first one, and connected it to my Philips 65OLED805. The Apple TV runs the latest OS and I'm using a high-speed HDMI cable to ensure I have sufficient bandwidth and capability between my TV and the Apple TV. However, without having identified a specific pattern, in 2 out of 10 times, when switching on the Apple TV, my TV doesn't get switched on. Any ideas why this could be the case? Any ideas to identify the root cause? Thanks, Mike

Verify that the new Apple TV box has its settings for that activated:

Settings﹥Remotes and Devices﹥Control TVs and Receivers﹥On.

Also verify the CEC settings on the other HDMI devices.
